Overview

Keenan has an exciting career opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Analyst in our Torrance office. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will manage all accounts receivable aging transactions (Agency Bill, Direct Bill, and all other receivables) – monitoring receivables, following up with clients/carriers/producer/department heads as required, resolving any collection issues, maintaining accurate receivables, submitting regular reports on the receivables status, and developing systems to assist the collection process.

Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

What You'll Do

  • Run daily Aging reports for both Agency Bill and Direct Bill from Sagitta and summarize for review.
  • Monitor receivables to ensure all receivables are accurately recorded and detect any overdue receivables.
  • Collect and analyze receivables to identify trends and history for any potential collection issues by carrier, by coverage, and by clien.t
  • Review Open Batch Log and follow up with the Direct Bill team members to ensure payments are being posted within 2 weeks of the receipt of payments.
  • Follow up with clients/carriers/producers as required.
  • Run and review SalesForce reports to capture any new or cancelled clients/policies and provide information to the AR teams to update billings and/or to write off the receivables in Sagitta as needed.
  • Follow up with clients/carriers/producers to ensure receivable information is valid and collectible.
  • Update collection notes on the Aging report daily.
  • Process any receivable adjustments in Sagitta as needed upon research and follow up with the clients/carriers/producers daily.
  • Develop procedures to assist the collection process (streamline the collection process).
  • Provide a weekly report of all collection operations and updates to Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller and/or Controller.
  • Provide over 90 summary by client by coverage weekly for Controller, and CFO.
  • Process remote daily deposits as needed.
  • Assist with daily cash posting and follow up for any backup statement from carrier.
  • Assist with reviewing New Business Report/Cancellation/Rewrite and follow up with producers for missing information.
  • Assist with processing any receivables/invoicing in Sagitta and perform related research and follow up as required.
  • Assist with processing Direct Bill cash reconciliation to the detail pages and process any adjustments or revisions as needed.
  • Assist with cash receipt research as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task. Adequate planning required to meet various deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Receivable/Accounting related work experience required.
  • Accounting degree (or related field of study) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required, including knowledge of V-Lookup and Pivot Table required.
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Outlook a plus. 
  • Experience with a G/L or Accounting package is also a plus.

Compensation:

 

The target salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
