Keenan has an exciting career opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in our Torrance office. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for reconciling up to 60 bank reconciliations. Request weekly and monthly funding from clients and reinsurers. Process weekly Employee Benefits funding registers on a scheduled daily basis.

Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

• Reconcile up to 60 bank reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly funding registers for Employee Benefit clients.
• Maintain and process stop payments.
• Prepare daily courier deposits for Bank of America and US Bank.
• Maintain detail pages for Employee Benefit clients.           
• Prepare request for monthly funding from reinsurers.
• Prepare deposits for Employee Benefits bank accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service with internal and external clients.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

The target salary range for this position is $52,000.00 to $60,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility.

• Minimum of 1-2 years accounting experience required.
• Must have good math aptitude.
• Must have knowledge of 10 key adding machine and type 45 wpm.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have the aptitude to make decisions based on the information provided.

SOFTWARE: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.  Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required.
