Join Our Team as a Senior Vice President of Operations!

 

Keenan, an Accretive company, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

 

What You'll Do

The SVP will take full responsibility for overseeing Keenan Operations, including Finance, IT, HR, Legal, and Facilities. Ensure seamless coordination with Keenan Region and AP Corporate to achieve operational excellence.

 

  • Information & Analysis: Prepare requested information and analyses for Leadership and Upper Management as needed.
  • Company Structure: Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the Keenan Company Structure.
  • Reporting: Review and analyze the monthly reporting package.
  • Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with Finance to forecast, monitor, and revise financial numbers, and communicate updates to various management levels on a monthly basis.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with platform leadership teams by department or functional area to understand their needs and support their initiatives.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure effective internal controls through timely and accurate reporting of monthly consolidated financial results, supported by a robust Internal Control structure.
  • Captive Transactions: Monitor and review all Captive.
  • Production Process: Develop a detailed understanding of the Production Process and the specific rules for each business type.
  • Chief Pricing Officer: Act as the Company’s Chief Pricing Officer.
  • Compensation Committee: Serve as a member of the Keenan Compensation Committee, approving all salary adjustments.
  • Culture Development: Collaborate with Keenan HR and Marketing to drive and maintain Keenan culture.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee all facilities needs.
  • IT Oversight: Approve all IT expenditures and processes.
  • Legal Coordination: Ensure all legal needs for Keenan are met in coordination with local, regional, and corporate legal teams.
  • HR Coordination: Ensure all HR needs for Keenan are met in coordination with local, regional, and corporate HR teams.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

 

  • Minimum 10 years of Insurance Brokerage experience required.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and infrastructure management.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices and legal compliance.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.  

  • Experience with a G/L or Accounting package is required.

  • Workday experience is a plus.

Compensation:

 

The target salary range for this position is $280,000.00 to $350,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility.
